(ROMAN?) BEAD

Description of Object:

Bead of glazed blue earthenware with a ridge pattern, very well finished in perfect condition.

Discussion:

Originally exhibited by B L Vawdrey Esq, Benjamin often loaned items out for public display, it is believed that some of these items may have been exhibited at the newly opened museum in the Victoria Building.

Date of Object:

This has not been dated by an expert but is considered Roman

Find-spot:

Collector B L Vawdrey, found at Kinderton, (probably at Kinderton Old Hall).

Dimensions:

1cm x 1cm attached to a display card.

Location:

Held in a private collection belonging to Peter Moore-Dutton of Tushingham
